MUNI Cable Cars Gallery, 2005-2009

MUNI Cable Cars in San Francisco was built in 1873. Until then, most of the traffic was supported by the horse carrige. This idea was when the engineer, who developed the first cablecar at the mountain to dig the gold, saw the accident of the carrige which killed 4 hourses. The terrible damage by the earthquake in 1906 make the lines into very few, not recovered and replaced to torrories. 1947 was the critical year because all Cable Car line planned by the mayer to be replaced to buses. It was saved by the citizen and decided to keep 3 lines. Those remained 3 lines were rennovated in 1982 and it made the lines much safer and easy to maintain.
